FULL IMMERSION BAPTISTRY
Yes - that really is what we do when people become Christians ! Why ? Because in the bible Jesus said that we should baptise believers.  The original practice involved submerging someone in a river to indicate making a new start and leaving wrongdoing and a guilty conscience behind. The Westbourne having been buried in a conduit as far down as the Serpentine, that leaves us a baptistry or the Serpentine.  Personally I’m not fussy - see you at the Serpentine swimming beach ?

....Maybe not in midwinter, so we now have a self filling / cleaning warm, hygeinic baptistry as a comfortable alternative. Right in the middle of the sanctuary floor. The baptism above was courtesy of Notting Hill Community Church in Kensington Park Road.
