3rd December 2004
The church’s
Christmas Tree is unveiled. Based in a wrought metal tree, unique leaves have been drawn by members of the congregation and printed onto thin aluminium by Laura Cave.

31st October 2004
The church holds a reunion event for 200 present and former members of the church, with attendance dating back to 1925.

3rd October 2004
Regular Sunday meetings begin.

26th September
The rededication of the church takes place with 120 visitors from the Salt and Light UK network of churches, and local TFG churches.

19 September 2004
First Sunday meeting in the new building.

9 September 2004
The congregation holds its first small group meeting in the church

27 August 2004
The church was handed over to the developer after carnival weekend in 2001.  Today, almost 3 years to the day, the church received back the keys to the church from the developer.

15 July 2004
New furniture is being commissioned including a communion table and lectern by designers Luke Hughes.

21 June 2004
Laying of the oak floor in the main hall begins.

17 June 2004
The Westbourne Grove Church aluminium nameplate appears in the front door.

11 June 2004
Laying of
the stone floor in the new lobby has begun. The stone is a grey limestone giving a hardwearing surface with indefinite life.

The
sanctuary walls and ceiling are nearing completion.  The sanctuary has been acoustically isolated from the rest of the building, protecting both the apartments above and the neighboring buildings from noise pollution. The room will also be acoustically balanced to give auditorium grade sound.

8 May 2004
250 chairs are ordered to a 40 year old classic design, the “40/4”
David Rowland chair manufactured by Howe.  This widely used and respected chair design has been in use at St Pauls Cathedral for 30 years, aas well as the National Gallery, Tate Gallery, British Library, Royal Opera House, Bauhaus, GLA building, Reichstag etc etc.

March 2004
Roof structures are completed and windows fitted. Internal works, wiring and other services, are underway.

November 2003
Spires return to Westbourne Grove Church after 50 years absence.

October 2003
Exterior walls are reconstructed.

September 2003
Basement and ground floor reinforced concrete
slabs completed and steel frame of upper floor is fully assembled.

March 2003
Reconstruction resumes.

Summer 2002
East wall taken down and stored for later rebuilding.

Feb 2002
Collapse of the Ledbury Road wall.

September 2001
Building handed over to Manhattan Loft for redevelopment.
