Intercession/ Prayer
Meeting
What is prayer group
A meaningful hour of prayer - a space to commune with God, and listen for His voice, much like a conversation with a friend.
We love prayer as it’s a great way to get to know God better. It’s also very practical - God uses prayer to change us and our community. Prayer brings us together so that God can work through us to bless our wider community.
If you’d like to pray with others in our community, we’d love to see you at our weekly Thursday gathering. We meet at the Church every Thursday from 10:30 to 11:30am. We spend time praying for personal needs, for those who are vulnerable in our wider community, and for larger social, national, and global issues.
Prayer
Why
Talking to God is a wonderful blessing. He invites us into His presence, and in those moments of prayer He often speaks to our hearts. When God speaks, He helps us see what we can do in practical ways, so prayer isn’t just words, it leads to action.
When
Prayer Group is currently at the Church, every Thursday morning at 10.30am.
Who
The Prayer Group is open to anyone, whether you’d like to pray for various situations or receive personal prayer.
Get prayer
Many people ask us to pray for them, and if you need prayer, you’re very welcome to reach out as well. We have a team who prays faithfully for every request each week, and once we’ve prayed, we mark it as completed. Here are a few ways you can get in touch if you’d like prayer for anything happening in your life.
Prayer board
Our prayer board is at the church reception right by the front door. If you want to add a prayer request, we are open daily from 9:00am to 5:00pm each week day. All you have to do is write your prayer requests and pop it on the board. If it is personal or private, you can put it in a slot too. There are also candles available if you would like to light one.
Send a prayer request
If you’d prefer to send your prayer request by e-mail, you can use a contact form here.
Prayer and retreat spaces
If you want a quiet space to pray or reflect, we have a Prayer room. It’s a peaceful space in the East Tower room next to the church reception. You won’t be disturbed, so it’s an ideal place to enjoy times of prayer or reflection, whether long or short. If you’d like to use the space, it’s available on request, so simply get in touch.
