Hospitality in the form of shared meals, and support for the needy people in society, were hallmarks of the early Christians, and have been features of Christian faith in many different ways over the centuries.
Our monthly lobby lunch, which takes place on the first Saturday of the month, except for January and August, aims to express both these values. It’s a meal, free of charge, to which anyone is welcome, but which particularly attracts homeless people, and people on low incomes. Most of the food we provide is home made. As well as food, the lunch provides opportunities for friendship, conversation, a chance to be listened to and supported.
The team who run lobby lunch are volunteers, both church members and others who want to help. If you would like to enquire about volunteering, please contact our Minister, Chris on firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0207 034 0500
On Monday mornings we offer a drop-in for the homeless and those on low income. We offer free tea, coffee and biscuits and the use of showers. We also aim to provide a welcoming and friendly place where people can talk and build friendships if they want to.
We also provide (non-specialist) support with problems relating to benefits, housing, visas, utilities etc.
