Giving

Giving

Like God, we love to be generous. One of the ways we do this is through supporting projects that help people in the local community and further afield.

Practically, we have a giving team that prays through the various projects or initiatives we are aware of and then allocates money to them.

Some of the recent projects we’ve supported include: an after-school club on a local estate; Christians sharing about Jesus in Pakistan; tools for a women’s group in India; tree-planting in Scotland; emergency earthquake relief funds for families in Peru; plus lots more!

Who do we give to?

Here are some of our regular partners, including what they’ve been doing and why we give to them.

Just trade

Through our connection with Just Trade we have been able to help Artisan Groups around the world

What Just Trade says:

The Grove has “supported us in so many ways: offering space to sell products, support with bursaries to fund training, education and tools, and have seen the artisan partners through many challenging times.”

Refugee Education UK

Refugee Education UK is a local London charity which aims to equip young refugees to build positive futures by thriving in education. REUK was founded by and a kickstarter of Community Church Harlesden - a church we are connected with through the FORGE network of churches.

Philippines Disaster Relief

One of the women in our church community grew up in Manila in the Philippines. Through her sister we provided water and food supplies to her family and their neighbourhood following the devastation caused by Typhoon Ulysses.

How you can give too

We’d love to partner with you through your giving, but there’s no pressure whatsoever! We don’t ask for money as a church or pressure people our community to give. Giving is easy - there are lots of different ways to do it - and we are transparent about how we use your gifts. If you’re interested in being part of giving to and supporting causes and organisations like the ones above, here’s more info on how you can contribute financially.

  • This is our preferred method of receiving gifts - it’s quick and easy to keep track of! You can make a bank transfer using the following account details:

    Account name: Westbourne Grove Church

    Sort code: 40-52-40

    Account number: 00030723

  • Cash and cheques are welcome. If you’d like to give via either way, please pop your gift in a giving envelope (which you can find at reception) and then hand it to one of the leadership team or at the church reception.

Cheques can be made payable to ‘Westbourne Grove Church’ (don’t forget to put it in a giving envelope!).

  • Regular bank transfer gifts are very welcome in the shape of a standing order. To set up your regular giving, please use our bank details via your internet banking setup and then let us know via the form below. (Don’t forget the second part, so we know who’s giving!).
