Yangdzom Lama

Yangdzom is a London-based multimedia artist working across painting, embroidery, and ceramics. Deeply inspired by her Himalayan heritage and the teachings of Tibetan Buddhism—particularly those rooted in compassion—her work draws from a rich cultural and spiritual tradition.

Animal symbolism plays a central role in her practice, serving as a lens through which she explores themes of interconnectedness and the divine. As an artist on the autism spectrum, Yangdzom attributes the intricate detail of her creations to the meticulous nature often associated with neurodivergence.

Through hand-stitched works such as Cosmic Octopus, she celebrates the beauty of interdependence and the vibrant diversity of all beings living on Earth.
